LiteWebServer, a less than 100 KB servlet enabled
webserver, released
Hermosa Beach, CA -- May 12, 1999 -- Gefion software
today announced the release of LiteWebServer 2.0, a
complete webserver with support for the Servlet API 2.1
in less than 100 KB.
LiteWebServer is a pure Java web server. Its extremely
small size makes it ideal for embedded systems, for
bundling with web application demos sent to potential
customers, and for running web applications distributed
on CDs. It's also an easy to use web server for servlet
development, personal use or a small intranet. For
instance, a preconfigured copy of the LiteWebServer is
bundled with Gefion software's InstantOnline Basic
servlet suite for dynamic web site development,
allowing customers to immediately try out the product
without the hazzle of configuring their regular
webserver.
